The “USB and embedded connection Seminars” hosted by Silicon Laboratories and supported by EDOM Technology have been successfully held in Taipei and Shenzhen. From the number of attendees and the crowds during the seminars, the engineers are showing very high interests in the USB and embedded connection technologies as well as the Silicon Laboratories’ solutions. The splendid product demonstrations and comprehensive speeches delivered by the lecturers have made the seminars even more welcome during the seminars.
USB interface has already become the mainstream data transfer interface standard due to its lower cost, easier adoption and consistency. However the issues of USB official registration authentication, inter-communication standard, DLL, component specifications and Windows drivers have confused the engineers for very long time. The major discussion of the seminars have been focused on certain components, development toolkits, drivers, software examples, software developing package, application documents and designing references to help the engineers understand the Silicon Laboratories’ USB solutions from the system level. The seminars also have helped plenty of engineers and users solve their longtime pending problems and received high credits from the attendees during the seminars.
“With the humorous tone, the lecturers have delivered a professional and terse speech, which made it easier to understand and absorb the most recent information on USB and the embedded connection technology”, from engineer Cao, an attendee of the seminar. Another engineer Mr. Xu also expressed his satisfaction about the seminars: “A lot of information has been given to us during the seminars; I am highly interested in the development toolkits from Silicon Laboratories. I would love to receive the product information from the Silicon Laboratories on a regular basis”.
From the questionnaires during the seminars, over 90% of the attendees have revealed their willingness to attend future seminars from the Silicon Laboratories. A lot of attendees also wanted to contact the sales representatives from Silicon Laboratories and the EDOM Technology, the global agent of Silicon Laboratories. It is a very good and interactive beginning for the Silicon Laboratories to reach out their touches to existing customers and potential prospective.
