TMC Solution
In cooperation with Silicon Labs and friendly support from SiRF, AVANTEQ has developed TMCstack®, a cost-effective high-performing TMC solution for portable devices like smartphones and personal navigation devices. The Traffic Message Channel (TMC) provides real time traffic information to navigation devices allowing to optimize routes around traffic incidents. TMCstack® enables OEMs to replace TMC receiver modules by a simple FM receiver circuit - usually requiring just a FM tuner chip. TMCstack® software performs FM tuner control as well as interaction with the navigation software on the device CPU - no extra MCU is required.
